"I have had the pleasure of working with Li on a handful of photo shoots over the last few years and to say that she has been amazing is an understatement. Li has way of making you feel like you are truly contributing to the overall feel of the shoot. She is kind, professional and truly values your opinion when it comes to putting out the best end result. She has such an artistic eye, and a style that is effortless in her photos. In a few words, I would describe Elisenda Llinares Photography as: real, genuine, modern, tasteful, beautiful."

- Valerie Hammer, Make-Up Artist

"I first met Li when my family and I modeled for her portfolio work. When I received the images back I could not believe my eyes. Her perspective captured expressions and emotions that no other photographer had ever been able to do. From that moment on, I knew she was MY go to photographer. Since then, Li has taken numerous photos of my family over the years and most recently she was a part of our company rebrand and every single photo on our site is from her. Li is professional, kind, and also knows when to step in and direct to ensure she gets the shots needed. I've referred several friends and colleagues her way and look forward to working with her much more in the years to come!"

"We had the pleasure to work with  Elisenda as she shot our wedding photos at a beautiful winery in Maryland last November. She was very professional and lovely, and it was a great experience from beginning to end to work with her.
The day of the shoot she was there at the venue way before we arrived to scout out the best views and spots to shoot for the most amazing photos for us and our guests. She made us all feel so comfortable and directed us perfectly as to where to stand for the best lighting, angles to ensure the pictures turn out flawless. The photos looked absolutely fantastic!
Her professionalism, passion and knowledge for photography and lovely personality is very special. I highly recommend Elisenda for anyone who is looking to capture beautiful photos of their special occasions and events."

FAQ

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR PHOTOS?

Contrary to what you might expect, the brightest part of the day is not ideal. At all! We need the sun low on the horizon to get that magical light in the images, so plan for a sunrise or sunset photoshoot.

For sunrise, I suggest we meet when it is still dark. About 15 minutes before the official sunrise time at the shoot's location. That way we can start photographing as soon as the day dawns.

For that natural, golden, glowing, perfect light, your best option is sunset. We should meet 1 hour before official sunset time, and the shoot will last until there is no more light available.

The exception to the rule: for lifestyle sessions at home, the best time is whatever period of the day your house receives the most natural light.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? DO YOU HAVE A BACK-UP?

I've been photographing with Canon equipment for 8 years now. My new baby is the 5D Mark IV. I use prime lenses in photoshoots (35mm and 50mm), and will reach for the 24-70mm for proposals, weddings and events.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR PHOTO SHOOTS?

Absolutely! I love being on the road and discovering new places.

WAIT! YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?

Indeed, I do! Although, not many. I take no more than 10 intimate weddings per year.

DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM?

I was formally trained in both film and digital photography. Most of my photoshoots are done on digital format, while some of my personal work is done on film. I love experimenting with different photographic processes, so I've started to bring my film camera to shoots and will happily make test images with it if you allow me.

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS AND ALBUMS?

Yes! There's nothing better than holding images in your hands. So I get all giddy happy when my clients ask me to print their photos. I offer signature fine-art prints in a variety of sizes, coffee table books with a beautiful fabric cover and matte finish, as well as classic lay flat albums.
